A proud Reston, Virginia native and honors graduate of Norfolk State University with a B.A. in Journalism, Stacy’s journey into wine began unexpectedly after college while managing the Town Point Virginia Wine Festival in Norfolk. That experience sparked a deep curiosity, but it wasn’t until a visit to Tarara Winery in Loudoun County years later that she truly fell in love—with the wine, the scenery, and the connections formed over a shared glass.

Her weekends soon became dedicated to visiting Virginia’s wineries, captivated by the region’s diverse terroir and welcoming communities. In 2010, Stacy combined her passion for wine with her background in journalism and marketing, launching Virginia Wine Know, a blog that has since become a trusted resource for wine lovers eager to explore Virginia’s hidden gems.

With certifications from the WSET and the International Wine Guild (Level 1 Sommelier), Stacy brings both expertise and an approachable charm to the world of wine. But for her, it’s never just about the wine—it’s about the stories, friendships, and moments shared along the way. Her love for travel, music festivals, and adventure infuses her work with creativity, while her time volunteering with mental health and cancer charities reflects her deep compassion for others. Guided by the motto, “You never know what someone is going through, so always be kind,” Stacy’s authenticity shines through in everything she does.
