About the Owners
Kate Arnold was raised to appreciate the outdoors. With an old Dutch barn in her backyard and her father being a small and large animal veterinarian, Kate learned from an early age the importance of animals and agriculture. Kate raised sheep throughout her youth, often winning prestigious awards at the Ohio State Fair.
Jean Arnold, Kate’s husband, developed a passion for wine in his early days working in the beverage industry to defray the costs of his master’s research in historic preservation. Jean worked for E&J Gallo Wines for the bulk of his career, selling wine and managing sales and marketing activities in the Carolinas, the Virginias, Sweden, Iceland, Norway, Finland, and Germany. Making his departure from E&J Gallo wines, Jean took on a new role with Don Sebastiani & Sons in their sales division, where he learned the national distribution network and created life-long relationships with distributors across the country. After working his way up with Don Sebastinai & Sons, Jean decided to “retire” from the corporate wine world to consult for artisanal wineries and smaller wine-focused distributors while concurrently working with Kate on the creation of Kate Arnold Wines. Kate’s appreciation for the organic way of life along with Jean’s sales and marketing experience in the wine industry was the flame that ignited the idea and ultimate start of Kate Arnold Wines.
Today, Kate and Jean continue to work together to produce wines they are proud to make and proud to drink. Kate’s marketing expertise and unwavering s… Read More
