My name is Gerard but everyone call me Jay. I am French from Bordeaux, Canadian from Montreal, and I am a wine enthusiast since my twenties!
I joined the wine industry in 2007 (after following the Wine MBA Program at Inseec Bordeaux) as the E-Commerce director at Millesima (Fine Wine Merchant)…
From 2007 to 2015 my team produced small clips and reports about wine and champagne producers from all over Europe. We learned from this experience that the wine lovers are eager to watch wine videos content on social media, to learn, discover and enjoy stories from their favorites wine producers!
As you can imagine, I spent hours watching videos, films, documentaries etc, on TV, on the web and now streaming… This is why I launched BlueWine as a videos blog to help you discover the wine world!
In 2021, in the middle of the covid crisis, with the help of good friends, we produced a feature long wine documentary film.
An investigation like no other, Eastbound Westbound lets the viewer understand how this Franco-American friendship around Bordeaux wines had its starting point in the 18th century around the greatest connoisseur of fine wines and lover of Bordeaux, the American Thomas Jefferson, US Ambassador to Paris and third President of the United States.
